Saudi side Al Ahli have made a formal bid to Napoli to sign their Polish international midfielder Piotr Zielinski. The 29-year-old has a contract with the Partenopei until 2024, but talks over a renewal have yet to push ahead, despite reports suggesting he would be prepared to take a pay-cut to remain in Naples.
Al-Ahli have been tracking the Zielinski since last month, while Lazio are also keen on the midfielder and have made their interest known.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano now reports that a formal bid has been made by Al-Ahli, and talks are in progress between the two clubs.
There’s no mention of fee as yet, but Romano suggests Al-Ahli want a quick resolution, or they will turn to the next option on their list, Atletico Madrid’s Marcos Llorente.
