Multiple Serie A Teams Keeping Tabs On Raheem Sterling As Englishman Looks To Revive Career Before 2026 World Cup

Start

Raheem Sterling will be leaving Chelsea this summer and a move to the Serie A may be what’s needed to revitalize the Englishman’s career.

Could Raheem Sterling Move To Serie A?

The former Manchester City star has endured a difficult spell in his last few seasons, failing to make an impact with Chelsea or on loan at Arsenal last season.

Sterling is widely regarded as one of the best Premier League wingers of all-time following his seven-year spell in Manchester, winning five league cups, four Premier League titles and two FA Cups.

The Englishman is City’s fifth highest scorer of all-time with 131 goals in 339 appearances, while also being England’s third highest scorer in the Champions League.

However, it appears that Sterling’s peak years are behind him following his move to Chelsea in 2022, scoring just 19 goals in 81 appearances for the Blues – before joining Arsenal on loan.

During the 2024/25 campaign, Sterling made 28 appearances for the Gunners, scoring just one goal and Mikel Arteta clearly preferred the likes of Ethan Nwaneri, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.

Now, the 30-year-old is up for sale as Chelsea look to fund moves for the likes of Jamie Gittens and Sterling could consider a move to the Serie A.

A move to AC Milan could be a smart option for the Englishman, as the Rossoneri could lose Rafael Leao this summer and be in need of a winger for next season.

Milan have already made strong additions this summer, signing Luka Modric and opening talks with Valencia for Spanish midfielder, Javi Guerra, as a move for Granit Xhaka failed to materialize.

In a similar fashion, Juventus may be on the hunt for a wide player this summer as the Old Lady are looking to sell Timothy Weah and Samuel Mbangula.

No Serie A side has made a move for the England international at this moment in time and Sterling has also attracted interest from Saudi Arabia and the United States.

Will Raheem Sterling Go To 2026 World Cup?

The main incentive behind Raheem Sterling’s move away from Chelsea is for the Englishman to find form ahead of the 2026 World Cup, as he looks to board the plane.

Sterling has been a pivotal member of multiple squads for the Three Lions, most notably during Euro 2021, as he scored crucial goals against Croatia, Czech Republic and Germany.

Sterling has picked up 82 caps for England, scoring 20 goals, but has not featured for his nation since England’s quarter final defeat to France in the 2022 World Cup.

The Three Lions are one of the favorites to win the tournament on the best betting apps after reaching consecutive Euro finals and reaching the semi-final of the 2018 World Cup.

Thomas Tuchel will be looking to fulfill this prediction after taking the reins from Gareth Southgate and the German was the one who signed Sterling to Chelsea – meaning their relationship could reignite if the winger finds form.
