Alessandro Bastoni to renew with Inter

Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni is set to renew with the club when the season comes to an end next month. The 24-year-old has an existing deal with the Nerazzurri that runs until June 2024, with some previous reports suggesting that he may leave the club this summer.

Sky Sport Italia, Mediaset and a number of other Italian outlets now report that Bastoni is now set to renew with Inter until 2028, with an improved salary of up to €5m included in the deal.

The announcement is expected to come at the end of the season, with Inter scheduled to play Manchester City in the Champions League final on June 10.

Bastoni has been an integral part of the Nerazzurri team that is set to finish second in the league, having already booked a place in the Coppa Italia and Champions League finals, while also securing the Supercoppa Italiana earlier this year.
