Premier League club Aston Villa will reportedly present an offer for Roma defender Roger Ibanez in the coming days. Villa coach Unai Emery is looking to bolster his defence ahead of the new season, having already secured Pau Torres, and will reportedly turn his attention to Rome for his next target.
Il Corriere dello Sport report that Ibanez is a target for Villa and Roma would be prepared to sell for a fee in the region of €25-30m, a fee they believe the Premier League club can afford.
The newspaper claim Villa are ‘ready to present the offer’ for Ibañez, with Roma having already secured his potential replacement in Evan N’Dicka, who they secured on a free transfer earlier this summer.
Roma are also set to complete a move for Leeds United centre-back Diego Llorente, who spent last campaign on loan in the capital, giving them more depth in the centre-back position.
