Start

In the aftermath of their triumphant Europa League victory, Atalanta are making concerted efforts to secure the future of their celebrated coach, Gian Piero Gasperini. Following the significant win against Bayer Leverkusen, the Bergamasci are eager to extend their successful partnership with Gasperini, who has been a pivotal figure in their recent achievements.

Sky Sport Italia report that La Dea are edging closer to a new deal with Gasperini.  Atalanta president Luca Percassi remarked: “We are working on the final details,”, highlighting the club’s commitment to retaining the coach, who is currently contracted at €5.5 million per season. The new deal is expected to make him the highest-paid coach in Italy.

Atalanta have reportedly offered Gasperini a two-year extension with an improved salary for the upcoming season, reflecting their appreciation for his contributions. However, the 66-year-old has expressed a desire for a longer commitment, seeking a three-year deal that would secure his position until 2027.
