Inter goalkeeping target Bento has confirmed that ‘An offer from the Nerazzurri has arrived’ for him. The 24-year-old is a target for the club as they look to rearrange their squad following the departures of Samir Handanovic and Andre Onana this summer.
The Nerazzurri are closing in on the signing of Yann Sommer, but still require a younger, backup goalkeeper to play as understudy to the first choice.
Athletico Paranaense youngster Bento spoke to Radio Transamerica about Inter’s interest in him, saying:
“An offer came from Inter: I talked about it with the management and now my dream is in the hands of the president.”
Currently, Bento has a contract with Atheltico Paranaense until 2026, but his release clause with the Brazilian club is reportedly €60 million.
According to Globo, however, Inter aren’t the only ones following Bento: in recent weeks Athletico Paranaense has reportedly received an offer from Benfica.
