Bonucci: ‘Sunday a very important game awaits us’


Following the Bianconeri’s 2-1 defeat to PSG, Juvetnus defender Leonardo Bonucci previewed his side’s upcoming clash against Inter on Sunday evening.

As it stands within the league, the Old Lady find themselves in seventh with a total of 22 points, only two points below Inter. Sealing all three points at the Allianz would allow the Bianconeri to keep their hopes of finishing within the top four very much alive.

Despite possessing a decimated squad filled with an abundance of injuries, Allegri’s side demonstrated a  of hope yesterday evening as they very much competed with the European juggernauts until the very end, and could have definitely grasped a point from the fixture.

While speaking to Sky Sport Italia, as relayed by FC Inter News, the 35 year-old provided his insight on his teams’s display, as well as the upcoming derby:

Against PSG there were some positive aspects and we must continue with this type of performance. Sunday a very important game awaits us to cut back on who precedes us in the league.”
