Reports from an number of Italian outlets suggest Maurizio Sarri has resigned his position as Lazio head coach today. Sky Sport Italia report that after suffering a defeat against Udinese on Monday evening, Sarri has resigned as manager following a string of poor results.
It remains to be seen whether Lazio president Claudio Lotito accept Sarri’s resignation, but reports have suggested that relations between the two have been strained for some time.
In the event of an official departure, sky suggest that one potential interim option could be Tommaso Rocchi, the former Lazio midfielder.
