Carlos Alcaraz agent: ‘I spoke with both Milan clubs’

The agent of Racing midfielder Carlos Alcaraz has confirmed that he spoke with both Milan sides about the young prospect. Sebastian Lopez spoke with Tuttosport (via FCInterNews1908) about the players future, suggesting a move to Serie A could be very possible:

“I had conversations with the directors of both (Milan) teams last summer. It was explained to me how they were monitoring Carlos. As for Inter, in addition to the various appreciations at the time, they have continued to follow him, as evidenced by Dario Baccin’s trip to South America.

Milan or Inter? We are waiting. The clubs we have talked to are very important. Clearly Inter and Milan are very, very important. And obviously both options are more than welcome.”

What did Carlos say to you after discovering that he was liked by such renowned clubs?

“For him it was something strong. Now he is on vacation, resting after a busy year. Inter and Milan are two top clubs. The Nerazzurri, perhaps also because of what Diego Milito was and what Lautaro Martinez is now, are particularly interested in Carlos. No one disputes the importance of Milan.”

How much is the player’s price tag?

“About €15 million. Although the figure could be lowered by inserting a clause that would allow Racing to have a percentage on future resale.”

Inter, however, can play the Colidio card…

“Absolutely. I do not know Facundo, nor am I his agent. But everyone in Argentina is sure that Racing wants him after his excellent season at Tigre. The coach hopes to play up there in front with a player who possesses precisely Colidio’s characteristics. Let’s see what happens.”

What are the main characteristics of Alcaraz?

“The winning mentality and never giving up. He is a box-to-box midfielder. He is strong up front, has a great shot and a great passing range. His type of play allows him to score a lot of goals. He is a player who starts the action and then goes to finish it.”
