Cassano: ‘Milan are inferior to Inter’

Antonio Cassano offered his thoughts on the upcoming Champions League semi-final between Milan and Inter, saying the Nerazzurri would have to play with 7 players from the Primavera for Milan to stand a chance. The two sides face off this evening for a place in the final of the competition, and speaking on BoboTV, Cassano was bullish about Inter’s chances of qualifying, saying the Rossoneri are too reliant on one player and their recent run of poor form makes it almost impossible:

“Inter would have to play with 7 players from the primavera to let Milan win, and the Rossoneri are in danger of not making it. With or without Rafael Leao they are too inferior, they rely on a player who is not Messi or Ronaldo and drags the others. Inter would have to put in a catastrophic performance. I think that after what happened in the first leg and the two goal difference it is almost impossible.”

“The Spezia game tells us how bad Milan is, for me there is no chance. There is an abysmal difference between Inter and Milan: the two goal lead, the state of form, the recovered players including Lukaku, there are all the conditions to make Milan’s feat impossible.”
