Cassano: ‘Mourinho’s football is nothing’

Former Roma forward attacked Jose Mourinho’s style of football at his old club, saying it is ‘nothing’, while Maurizio Sarri ‘loves football and doesn’t give a f***’. It’s the latest in a series of sensational comments from ‘Fantantonio’ who has already aimed digs at both Max Allegri and Simone Inzaghi this season, as well as claiming he rejected a move to Juventus four times.

Speaking on BoboTV, the 40-year-old compared the football being played in the capital city, namely that of Sarri and Mourinho, explaining why he prefers the Lazio coaches approach:

“Sarri loves football, while he doesn’t give a f***. Mourinho? People bring him up like he’s….who knows who, but he wins with cunning, while Sarri plays fantastic football. Mourinho’s football is nothing. Of course if you look at the awards, it’s another matter, but we shouldn’t be fooled. One is capable of doing his job, the other is just in the movies. I have no idea how Roma play and I don’t understand how they get results.

“Before he was a great coach, today whether he coaches Real Madrid or San Martín, it’s the same thing. If he returns to Real it’s only because of his status, if they want to play football, they won’t call him.”
