Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claim that Juventus are still wanting to sign Romelu Lukaku this summer, regardless of Dusan Vlahovics’ future at the club. The Belgian striker is not part of Chelsea’s plans for next season, and has been training along after a move to Inter collapsed at the last minute. The Nerazzurri were close to agreeing terms for the 30-year-old, before news emerged that Lukaku was also in talks with Serie A rivals Juventus, prompting Inter to withdraw from all talks.
Il Corriere dello Sport report that Juventus have decided to make a move for Lukaku, regardless of the future of Vlahovic, with Bianconeri director Cristiano Giuntoli at work to agree a deal with Chelsea.
Juve are reportedly trying to sign Lukaku in time to join them on their pre-season tour in the United States, given that the striker has already agreed a three-year contract with Juventus, worth around €9m per season.
