Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis seemingly confirmed that Luciano Spalletti will be leaving the club this summer. The Partenopei coach his reportedly ready to leave Naples, just weeks after securing their first Serie A title since the 1980’s.
Speaking to Che Tempo Che Fa, De Laurentiis confirmed that Spalletti is on the way out of the club this summer :
“There are coaches who want to do the transfer market and those who coach. Spalletti, a great coach, is one who coaches.”
“Spalletti is a free man. He comes to me and says ‘I have done my best, a cycle has ended. I have a contract with you, but I would prefer to have a sabbatical year’. Do you object? He has given me so much, I thank him.”
