Juventus have confirmed that midfielder Denis Zakaria will be out of action for at least 20 days. The Swiss international picked up a knock in the teams 3-2 win over Empoli on the weekend and walked off the pitch assisted by staff.
The club have now released an official statement, confirming the players status:
This morning, Denis Zakaria underwent diagnostic examinations at J|Medical, which revealed a low-grade injury to the tendon of the adductor longus muscle of the left thigh. The expected recovery time is approximately 20 days.”
Paulo Dybala is another absentee and Sky Sport report that despite optimism about his condition, he won’t be risked. It was originally suggested the Argentine would return in time for the midweek Coppa Italia match against Fiorentina, however it’s now reported the home game against Spezia is the intended return date.
