Destiny Udogie’s season cut short due to injury, will miss EUROs


Tottenham Hotspur wing-back Destiny Udogie has confirmed his season is over after underwent surgery for an unspecified injury. The 21-year-old full-back, who joined Spurs from Udinese at the start of the season, has featured in 30 matches under manager Ange Postecoglou.

Udogie took to Instagram to announce that he underwent surgery for the undisclosed injury, expressing gratitude to those who supported him during the season.

Despite Udogie’s absence, Tottenham remains in contention for a Champions League spot, trailing fourth-placed Aston Villa by three points with a game in hand.

The recovery time is almost certain to rule him out for participation in the Azzurri’s EURO 2024 squad.
