Di Maria: ‘I want to stay in Europe’

Juventus target Angel Di Maria say’s he would like to stay in Europe for another season, even if it’s not with PSG. The Argentine international is out of contract in the summer but the French champions retain an option to extend his contract by another year.

Despite the option, it’s unlikely the Ligue 1 giants will exercise it, but Di Maria wants to remain in European football for at least another season before returning to Argentina:

My idea is to stay in Europe for another year so I can go to the World Cup in the best possible shape if I’m called up, and then I would go back to Argentina.

I don’t know if PSG want me to stay. If not, I will look at possibilities at other teams in Europe.”

Juventus are reportedly keen on the 34-year-old who will be available for free in June when his contract with PSG officially ends.
