Dybala: ‘I think I called Mourinho before my mother after we won the World Cup’

Start

Paulo Dybala gave an insight into his close relationship with José Mourinho: ‘I think I may have called him before my mother when we won the World Cup.’ La Joya was speaking with Argentine journalist Gaston Edul on YouTube and explained why he and the Special One share such a close bond:

First of all, how are you?

“Fortunately I’m well, I’ve been working a lot. I had an injury that caused me some pain. I was able to recover quickly though, in the game I felt very good. I had a similar problem when I was at Juve, I had the same pain. After the game (against Cagliari this weekend, ed) there were also the national team call-ups and that’s the first thing I thought about. Then with treatments and specific work I recovered quickly, in 20 days as the doctors told me.”

On Jose Mourinho’s happiness after Argentina’s World Cup victory?

“When the game with France ended I was in the room to do anti-doping, I go to the locker room, pick up the phone to talk to my family and I see five missed calls from Mou. I think I called him before my mother. He was very happy because he loves Argentinians. He always tells me beautiful things about Di María and Messi too, he loves them very much. He has great affection for all Argentines.”
