Eto’o: “I Remain an Inter Fan, What Memories! Moratti Was a Great President”

Samuel Eto’o, former Inter and Barcelona striker and current president of the Cameroon Football Federation, shared his fond memories of his time at Inter Milan while receiving the Fair Play Menarini award in Fiesole:

“Receiving this award is very important to me. I’ve always prioritized respect for opponents, teammates, the public, and honesty in our daily work,” Eto’o stated.

Reflecting on his Inter experience, Eto’o said, “I have beautiful memories of my time at Inter. What many considered a sacrifice on my part – playing in a different position than my natural one – actually leads me to say that we all make sacrifices. But it was all useful in winning a beautiful trophy, the Champions League, at a club that had a great president like Massimo Moratti, who is a wonderful person.”

The Cameroonian star added, “I have beautiful memories of Milan and Inter, and I wish the Nerazzurri to win many more trophies. We’ll see what happens in the next Champions League.”

Eto’o emphasized his continued support for the club: “I certainly remain an Inter fan, and when I have time, I continue to go to the stadium.”
