FIGC open investigation into Napoli-Juventus Primavera, Moggi on sidelines

The FIGC Prosecutor’s Office, headed by Giuseppe Chiné, has opened an investigation into the Juventus v Napoli Primavera match after former club director Luciano Moggi was seen on the sidelines. Sportface report that, Moggi, who was disbarred from football following the events of the 2006 Calciopoli scandal, was seen on the sidelines during during the game on 14 January.

The Federal Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation file on the incident immediately after learning the news in the press which was accompanied by clear images.

The violation, if it were to be verified, would concern the presence on the sidelines of a figure not present in the match list or among the accredited staff.

Moggi was disbarred following the events in 2006 which included a  ‘life-long preclusion from holding any rank or category in the FIGC’.
