Fiorentina linked with Dodo move

Fiorentina have made an initial offer to sign Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazilian right-back Dodo for €10m. The 23-year-old has been with the Ukranian side since 2017 when he joined them from Coritiba but the invasion of Ukraine has forced a number of players to leave the country.

Sky Sport Italia report that the first bid from Fiorentina was made yesterday evening, but it’s shy of the €15m price that Shakhtar are asking for.

The clubs Sporting Director Darijo Srna is expected in Florence over the next few days, possibly only on vacation, but there’s speculation the will take the opportunity to speak to the Viola.

Fiorentina are on the lookout for a new right-sided full-back having failed to agree a permanent transfer for Alvaro Odriozola, who was was on loan from Real Madrid last season.
