Gianluca Di Marzio: ‘Chiesa agents in talks with Barcelona’

Start

Federico Chiesa’s future at Juventus continues to hang in the balance as reports emerge of potential interest from Barcelona. The Italian forward, who has struggled to find his place in Thiago Motta’s plans for the team, may be seeking a move abroad.

Motta’s recent pre-match press conference ahead of the Como fixture further fuelled speculation about Chiesa’s position within the squad. The coach’s comments suggested that the player might not be a key part of Juventus’ future plans.

While Chelsea has been previously linked with Chiesa, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Barcelona have now emerged as a serious contender for his signature. The Catalan giants have reportedly made contact with Chiesa’s agent, Fali Ramadani, to explore the possibility of a transfer.

Ramadani is said to have initiated discussions with Barcelona, indicating that both parties are open to the idea of Chiesa moving to Camp Nou. However, any potential deal would hinge on reaching an agreement with Juventus, who still hold the player’s contract.

It’s worth noting that the current talks do not involve any player exchanges, suggesting that any transfer would likely be a straight cash deal if it were to materialize.
