Italy and PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and his partner Alessia Elefante were the victims of a violent home-invasion and robbery in Paris last night. Reports from French and Italian media outline how thieves broke into Donnarumma’s home in the VIII arrondissement in Paris and threatened the Italy international and his partner at gunpoint.
According to the reports, Donnarumma and his partner were tied up, beaten and stripped, before thieves made off with goods worth close to €500,000. The pair managed to escape and made their way to a luxury hotel close to their home at 3.20am before police were alerted to the incident. The pair were taken to hospital for medical checks.
It’s the latest in a long-line of break-ins and robberies to impact PSG players with Sergio Rico, Thiago Silva and Angel Di Maria all falling victim to similar incidents in recent years.
