Henrikh Mkhitaryan to join Inter

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has rejected a contract extension with Roma in favour of joining Inter on a free transfer. The 33-year-old is out of contract with the Giallorossi at the end of the month and has turned down their €4.2m per season offer.

Sky Sports Italia report that this is an improvement on Roma’s previous offer, but the Armenian international has rejected the deal in favour of a move to Inter next season.

Sportitalia, Gazzetta dello Sport and Il Tempo report on similar lines and suggest that Mkhitaryan’s entourage have informed Roma that he would not be extending his contract at the Stadio Olimpico.

Mkhitaryan has spent three seasons with Roma, scoring 29 goals in 117 appearances for the Giallorossi.
