Igor Tudor set to leave Lazio

The relationship between Lazio and Igor Tudor is coming to an end, with both parties currently working on terminating the Croatian coach’s contract. Tudor only arrived at the club in March, but reports from Italy have suggested that he was unimpressed with the Biancocelesti’s handling of Daichi Kamada’s contract renewal.

Sky Sport Italia report that Tudor’s tenure as Lazio’s head coach has been brief, and is already coming to an end. He took over from Maurizio Sarri and managed to guide the team to a seventh-place finish in Serie A, which secured them a spot in the Europa League for the next season.

However, recent tensions and differing views on the club’s future have made the atmosphere untenable, leading to the decision to part ways. The process of contract termination is already underway, marking the end of Tudor’s short stint with the Roman club.

With Tudor’s departure imminent, Lazio are beginning to look ahead. Marco Baroni has emerged as a potential candidate for the head coach position. Baroni recently had a lunch meeting with Monza’s CEO Adriano Galliani, as Monza is also considering him for their managerial role following Raffaele Palladino’s exit.

Despite the interest, there has been no formal contact between Lazio and Baroni yet. Lazio’s primary focus remains on finalizing Tudor’s departure before moving forward with the search for a new head coach.
