Both Inter and Juventus have received fines from the Sporting Justice in Italy for offensive and insulting chants that were made by their supporters during Sunday’s Derby d’Italia. The Bianconeri ultimately prevailed in a hard fought contest, scoring twice in the second half, but Inter had chances of their own.
A press release by the Sporting Justice confirmed that the Nerazzurri have received a fine of €12,000, while Juventus have received a fine of €7,000.
There was chanting from the Inter fans before kickoff at the Allianz Stadium, aimed directly at the Juventus squad.
Plastic cups were also seen on TV footage, seemingly aimed in the direction of the Juve players from the travelling Inter supporters.
Meanwhile, during the match insulting chants towards the Nerazzurri were heard coming from the home supporters.
