Inter discuss Simone Inzaghi contract renewal with agent

Start

Inter Milan, under the new ownership of Oaktree, are putting pieces into place, and the club is now focusing on renewing Simone Inzaghi’s contract. The initial meeting was set on May 28, when Inzaghi visited the club’s headquarters to meet Alejandro Cano and Catherine Ralph, representatives of the American fund planning Inter’s future alongside the current management. Despite financial challenges under Zhang, this team has successfully steered Inter through turbulent waters.

Calciomercato report that this afternoon, Tullio Tinti, Inzaghi’s long-time agent, arrived at the headquarters to meet with Piero Ausilio and Dario Baccin. Inzaghi did not attend and is awaiting updates from his home in Milan. While a few details remain to be ironed out, including the contract duration that Inzaghi prefers to extend until 2027 (matching the tenure of the entire sporting management), the financial terms have already been agreed upon. The new deal will see Inzaghi’s salary increase to approximately 6 million euros per season.

Once the renewal is finalized, discussions will shift to the transfer market. Ausilio and Baccin believe the current squad is nearly complete, requiring only a new goalkeeper. However, Inzaghi may request an additional reinforcement to further strengthen the team.
