Inter Milan’s Ausilio scouts potential targets at Monza-Roma match

Start

Inter Milan’s Sporting Director Piero Ausilio was spotted in the stands at the U-Power Stadium during the 1-1 draw between Monza and Roma, using the opportunity to assess potential transfer targets for the Serie A champions.

Calciomercato report that Ausilio’s presence at the match suggests Inter are already planning their transfer strategy for the upcoming windows in January and June. The club’s technical director was likely keeping a close eye on several Monza players who have been linked with Inter in recent months.

One player of particular interest could be Andrea Carboni, the left-footed defender who Inter had previously inquired about before signing Palacios. Carboni was also a target for Fiorentina last summer but ultimately remained at Monza.

Warren Bondo, the young French midfielder who has been impressing for Monza, may also have caught Ausilio’s attention. The 20-year-old has been a revelation since last season and continues to shine under new manager Nesta. However, Inter could face competition from city rivals AC Milan for Bondo’s signature.

In attack, Dany Mota might have piqued Inter’s interest. The Portuguese forward, known for his flashes of brilliance in big matches, scored against Inter earlier this season with a spectacular header. Mota, who netted the equalizer against Roma in this match, could be viewed as a low-cost alternative in attack for Inter, especially with Arnautovic and Correa expected to depart at the end of the season.
