Inter reach agreement for Tajon Buchanan

A report from Belgian outlet HLN claims Inter have agreed terms with Club Brugge for striker Tajon Buchanan. The Canadian international has been linked with the Nerazzurri for several weeks now, and a switch to Milan is seemingly ever closer as the two parties are thought to have agreed on a transfer fee.

HLN report that the 24-year-old is ‘on his way to Inter’, with the two clubs having ironed out a €15m agreement for the talented youngster. The newspaper write that:

“If all goes according to plan, he will transfer for about €15 million between the ‘blue and black’ clubs after this season ends. Buchanan himself, despite a mediocre season this summer, absolutely wanted to make the move to a top league and so he gets his way.”

“There is no agreement in principle or signatures yet, but all parties are verbally committed to Buchanan’s transfer. Barring any surprises, Club Brugge will thus capture a first substantial sum this summer. Noa Lang is also expected to make the move to a G5 competition after three seasons at Brugge. Transfers that will guide Club Brugge’s acquisition policy, which this summer will be influenced more than in past years by what comes into the bargain.”

Buchanan had reportedly been on Inter’s shortlist for some time, having played well for the Canadian national side at the World Cup, as well as impressing in the Champions League when Brugge hosted Atletico Madrid. Inter scouts were present for that match, and despite having what HLN call a ‘mediocre’ season, the youngster has done enough to impress the Nerazzurri.
