Inter are ready to extend the contract of defender Mattia Darmian following his impressive performances this season. The 33-year-old has spent the last four seasons with the Nerazzurri, proving himself a versatile player, able to play at centre-back and on the wings.
The Nerazzurri only recently extended Darmian’s contract to 2024, but his ability to fill-in across the back-line has made him indispensible to coach Simone Inzaghi.
Fabrizio Romano now reports that the veteran defender will sign a new deal that will keep him in Milan until at least 2025, with both player and club keen on the extension.
Darmian has made 131 appearances for Inter since arriving in 2020, scoring 8 goals across all competitions.
