Inter are looking to tie down Milan Skriniar to a long term deal in the face of interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham. The 27-year-old has become the key defender in the Nerazzurri’s back-line and is attracting attention from a number of Premier League clubs.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that one of Inter’s priorities at the end of the season is to renew Skriniar’s deal beyond 2023 when his existing deal expires.
The Slovakian currently earns €3.5 million per season while the new deal will propose a contract until 2027 and a starting salary of €4.5 million plus various performance related bonuses, taking it beyond €5 million per year.
Skriniar is seen as a key figure in the Nerazzurri locker room, both technically and in leadership, while coach Simone Inzaghi rates the player very highly for his leadership and tactical flexibility.
