Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has confirmed the signing of Iranian striker Medhi Taremi: ‘We’re very happy to have him.’ The Porto striker is set to join the Narazzurri as a free agent this summer, having previously tried to sign him last summer.
Speaking to DAZN after Inter’s 1-9 defeat to Sassuolo, Inzaghi confirmed the 31-year-old’s arrival, saying:
“He is an important player, he has featured in many Champions League and Europa League matches, scoring numerous goals. We are pleased to expand our attacking options. Our squad will be deeper compared to this season.”
Taremi has been with the Portuguese giants since 2020, scoring 89 goals in 179 appearances over a four year period.
