Inzaghi: “There Will Be Rotation for the Genoa Game”

Start

Ahead of the clash against Genoa at San Siro, Simone Inzaghi shared his thoughts in an interview with Inter TV, setting the stage for the final fixture of Serie A’s twenty-seventh matchday:

“It will be a tough and challenging match. Genoa is an excellent team with 33 points, having a great season. In their last 12 games, they’ve only lost to Atalanta in the final minutes, so they’re in good form, and we should face them with a lot of concentration,” began Inzaghi.

The coach continued, “Genoa occupies the field very well, excelling in both phases. We’ll need to have great concentration, be technically clean, and try to develop our usual game.”

Inzaghi hinted at some lineup changes: “There will be changes, rotations. I’m fortunate to have the players available. Unfortunately, some will miss out tomorrow, but with the heavy schedule, not every player is always available. However, all those who have been fielded have given me excellent responses.”

What’s the secret behind Inter’s lead in the league? “Together with my staff, in these 30 months at Inter, we’ve found tremendous commitment from all the players. Our staff aims to instill our principles, and the players have been very good at putting them into practice.”

As for the keyword for Inter’s fairy-tale 2024? “I would say ‘continue.’ We’ve had these two months in the best possible way, but we know that tomorrow’s match will be very difficult, and many more will follow. We must continue to play in this manner with pace, aggression, and determination.”
