Italian sides learn Champions League fate

Juventus, Inter, Milan and Napoli face tough opposition in the Champions League with the Nerazzuri being drawn in this seasons ‘Group of Death.’ The four Italian representatives will aim to go one better this year after disappointing performances in the last campaign that saw none of the progress beyond the last 16.

Juventus winger Angel Di Maria will have an emotional trip back to Paris to face PSG before returning to Portugal to play Benfica, rounding off the group stage with matches against Israeli side Maccabi Haifa.

Milan will see themselves as joint favourite to progress after drawing Premier League side Chelsea, Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb and Swiss giants RB Salzburg.

Inter face the toughest path to the last 16 after drawing competition favourite Bayern Munich, along with high-spending Barcelona and Czech side Viktoria Plzeň.

Napoli round out the draw and will face Liverpool, Dutch champions Ajax and Scottish side Rangers.
