Jordan Vertout to join Marseille

Roma midfielder Jordan Veretout is set to join Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille after the two clubs reached an agreement on an €11m deal. The Frenchman is not a part of Jose Mourinho’s plans for the upcoming season and has been allowed to speak with other teams over a move.

Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the 28-year-old is set to join Marseille this summer in an €11 million move.

The deal could net Roma a further €4.5 million in add-ons – €2 million in case Veretout reaches 30 club appearances, and a further €2.5 million if Marseille qualify for next year’s Champions League.

Veretout’s exit will allow the Giallorossi to complete their move for PSG midfielder Gini Wijnaldum’s who is set to arrive in Rome this week.
