Juventus ask for information on Fabian Ruiz

Start

Juventus have asked for information on PSG midfielder Fabian Ruiz as they look to reinforce their midfield in the January transfer window. The Bianconeri are without youngster Nicolo Fagioli until next season after his betting ban, while Paul Pogba is looking at a potential two-year ban after he returned a positive doping test earlier in the year.

The Old Lady are looking light in the centre of the pitch, and may yet lose Fabio Miretti in the coming week after he withdrew from the Azzurrini training camp.

Calciomercato now report that Juve could look to PSG’s Fabian Ruiz to bolster the midfield in January, as they look to maintain their bid for the 2023-24 Scudetto.

According to the report, Ruiz is growing frustrated at his lack of playing time with the Ligue 1 champions, having played just 556 minutes this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

In the last few hours, contacts between the clubs and the intermediaries have intensified, with Bianconeri director Cristiano Giuntoli a long-standing admirer of Ruiz, who he previously bought to Napoli.

Juve consider the Spanish international a perfect addition to the squad, given his experience of Serie A, however the will of the player that can be decisive.

The biggest obstacle for now relates to the players €6 million salary, a figure that’s deemed too high for the Bianconeri. As such, PSG are open to the prospect of loaning Ruiz to Juve with some kind of formula which could make a move all the easier.
