Juventus considering Rugani renewal until 2026

Start

Juventus are considering a contract renewal for defender Daniele Rugani following his impressive recent displays. The 29-year-old has been with the Bianconeri for seven seasons, playing largely as a back-up centre-back for the Old Lady. A recent injury crisis has seen the former Empoli man step in for Danilo and Alex Sandro, earning praise for his solid work in the back line. TuttoJuve now report that:

“The latest performances of Daniele Rugani (29) are not going unnoticed. Coach Allegri has always considered him a twelfth man, a reliable defender who is proving to be a certainty in the current Bianconeri defensive department. No meetings have yet been scheduled with his agent, but the central player’s renewal is on the management’s list and will be calmly addressed in the coming weeks. The financial basis on which the parties are talking is two years (until 2026), thus extending his current expiry date set for next June, at a lower figure than the current €3m he currently receives.”
