Juventus are planning a big signing in midfield this summer and have already made contact for Paul Pogba. The former Bianconeri midfielder is out of contract with Manchester United in the summer and Juve are hoping to secure him on a free transfer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that while Pogba is on a salary deemed too high for Juve, his desire to return to a club where ‘he was truly happy’ could help a potential transfer.
The Bianconeri have two options for midfield this summer: Pogba and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, however dealing with Lazio is particularly complicated while the Bianconeri already have good relations with the Frenchman’s agent, Mino Raiola.
Gazzetta claim that contacts have already been made between the parties but his €15 million a year salary can’t be matched. Juve would offer a base salary of €7.5 million, a figure they will not exceed, however with bonuses, the salary could reach double digits.
