Juventus have recently shown interest in Fiorentina’s Nico Gonzalez as they look to bolster their attacking options under new manager Thiago Motta. The Bianconeri have made initial contact with the player’s entourage to explore the possibility of a transfer and gauge potential costs.
Calciomercato report that while Gonzalez is reportedly open to a move to Turin, the most significant hurdle appears to be reaching an agreement with Fiorentina. The Viola do not consider Gonzalez untouchable, but they are not actively looking to sell him either. Any departure would only be considered if an irresistible offer were to arrive, with Fiorentina valuing the Argentine winger at over €30 million.
Juventus, however, is hesitant to meet such a high price tag. The club is considering the possibility of signing two attacking wingers if favourable opportunities arise. One potential target is Karim Adeyemi, for whom Juventus has already submitted an initial proposal. The other could be a player with similar characteristics to Gonzalez, but at a lower cost.
Interestingly, Atalanta has also expressed strong interest in Gonzalez. The Bergamo club could potentially fund a move for the Fiorentina star if they sell Teun Koopmeiners, ironically to Juventus. Negotiations for Koopmeiners are ongoing, with Juventus offering €45 million against Atalanta’s €60 million valuation.
As it stands, both Juventus and Atalanta’s interest in Nico Gonzalez remains at the preliminary stage, with no formal negotiations underway.
