Juventus linked with Campos and Giuntoli for Sporting Director

Start

Juventus have begun the search for a new sporting director and have PSG’s Luis Campos and Napoli’s Cristiano Giuntoli on their shortlist. The Bianconeri are in the process of a managerial rebuild following the mass resignation of their board of directors at the end of last year. The club recently approved the appointment of a new board and are now working to replace Federico Cherubini who currently holds the DS role.

Il Corriere dello Sport report that PSG director Campos is on Juve’s list and is more than a mere ‘suggestion’, given he is a close friend of current coach Max Allegri. The pair were pictured in Monte Carlo last summer, prompting rumours that either man was set to leave his respective club.

Another name is Milan’s Frederic Massara following his fine work with the reigning Scudetto holders, although the suggestion is that it would be very difficult to prise him away from the Rossoneri.

Napoli’s Cristiano Giuntoli has been linked with the Old Lady for some time, given his contract with the Partenopei ends next summer, but Juve will first need to decide what to with Cherubini. Recent reports suggest he will be promoted to  the general director role at the club.
