Juventus look beyond Rabiot, preference for Khephren Thuram over Fofana

SportItalia report that Juventus won’t be overly concerned if Adrien Rabiot decides to move elsewhere, as they have his replacement in line. While they believe they’ve made an irresistible offer to the French midfielder, the club is already working on potential replacements.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, after finalizing the Douglas Luiz operation, Juventus will pursue Teun Koopmeiners, but they’ll also need to acquire a new midfielder. Youssouf Fofana and Khephren Thuram were previously mentioned as potential targets, but it’s worth noting that in recent hours, contacts have increased for Thuram, whose contract with Nice expires in 2025.

Khephren has other offers, but Juventus would have priority. Fofana, who has the same contractual situation with Monaco as Thuram, is still of interest. However, Marcus Thuram’s younger brother is currently ahead in the evaluations. He’s particularly intriguing in a midfield alongside Douglas Luiz and Nicolò Fagioli, with Koopmeiners as an attacking midfielder.

This is why if Rabiot decides to go elsewhere, Juventus would know how to remedy the situation. The club’s proactive approach demonstrates their commitment to maintaining a strong midfield, regardless of Rabiot’s decision.
