Juventus are beginning to plan for life without Matthijs De Ligt and will meet with the agent of Kalidou Koulibaly in Milan today. The Bianconeri are expected to sell their Deutch defender with both Chelsea and Bayern Munich vying for his signature.
Turin based daily Tuttosport report that Juve are already working on his replacement as Sporting Director Federico Cherubini is looking at a list of “eligible” defenders.
Top of the list is Koulibaly, a favourite of the management and of coach Massimiliano Allegri, who is rated for his expected and technical characteristics.
With the Senegalese International’s contract set to expire in June 2023, the Bianconeri are expected to make a push to sign him this summer.
Cherubini is expected to meet with the player’s agent Fali Ramadani in Milan today to see if there is any chance of Koulibaly joining Juventus and to discuss the €40m asking price.
Cherubiniwill also use the meeting to discuss Nikola Milenković, also represented by Ramadani, whose contract with Fiorentina ends next summer.
