Juventus still interested in Jorginho

Juventus are still interested in Chelsea midfielder Jorginho and will make another attempt to sign him this summer. The Italy international has been a long-term target for the Bianconeri and was linked with a return to Serie A a number of times in recent years.

PA journalist Nick Purewal reports that the Old Lady are prepared to ‘step-up’ their pursuit of the midfielder, once Adrien Rabiot’s move to Manchester United is completed.

The Frenchman is expected to make the switch in the coming week once talks over a contract are finalised between his mother/agent and United.

Jorginho has publicly stated that he is happy in London and has no desire to leave the Blues, but Purewal suggests Juve are hoping to convince him to make the move to Turin.

The 30-year-old has been with Chelsea since 2018, scoring 27 goals in 189 appearances for the club.
