Juventus are reportedly set to agree a plea deal with the Federal Prosecutor’s Office in the investigation into alleged salary maneuvers. A hearing had initially been set for June 15, but reports in Italy suggest that the date has been forward to tomorrow, with the Bianconeri set to agree a deal, the details of which are expected to filter through soon.
Goal Italia and numerous other Italian outlets report that in the hearing, Juventus will reach an agreement with Prosecutor Giuseppe Chinè, suggesting a possible reduction of the sanction. News varies, but some outlets suggest Juve may just be set for a hefty fine which may or may not include a small points penalty, possibly just 2-points.
If the Chinè agrees to the plea deal, the club will no longer be able to appeal at any level of justice and the investigation will be put to rest. If, on the other hand, the plea request is rejected, the trial will go forward as planned.
