Juventus to renew Samuel Iling-Junior contract

Juventus are set to renew the contract of former Chelsea starlet Samuel Iling-Junior after his impressive displays. The 19-year-old joined the Bianconeri in 2020 at the age of 16 having come through the youth set-up at Stamford Bridge and has been playing for the Juventus Next Gen team since. A recent call up to the senior team saw him play the closing stages against Benfica in the Champions League and make an important contribution, playing a part in both of Juve’s late goals.

The youngster has a contract with the club until June 2023, but talks are now under way to renew his deal. The mornings Corriere dello Sport reports that the player is set to sign a deal until 2026, with talks having already taken place.

According to the report, there is ‘optimism’ and ‘mutual satisfaction’ on the terms, with a signature thought t be very close.

Iling Junior made seven appearances for the Juve Next Gen team so far this season, scoring 4 goals in the process, along with his two assists for the senior team midweek.
