Juventus are gearing up for a busy end to the transfer window, with plans to secure four key signings in the final 20 days of August. The club’s current squad is not yet aligned with the vision of manager Thiago Motta and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli. Slow progress in player sales has hindered incoming transfers, but Juventus aims to add at least four new players by the August 30 deadline.
According to Calciomercato, the club are targeting reinforcements across all areas, with a defender, a midfielder, and potentially two wingers on the agenda. The most pressing situation involves Teun Koopmeiners, who has been a long-standing target for Juventus’ midfield. With Adrien Rabiot’s departure, Koopmeiners is seen as the ideal replacement. Although the Dutch midfielder has expressed interest in joining Juventus, negotiations with Atalanta have stalled. Juventus has offered €45 million, while Atalanta are holding out for €60 million. A revised offer or player exchange could break the deadlock.
Another player poised to join Juventus is Jean-Claire Todibo. Progress has been made in negotiations with Nice, with Juventus proposing a loan deal with an obligation to buy, contingent on Todibo making 65% of appearances and the team qualifying for the Champions League. Adjustments to these conditions have moved talks forward, and optimism is growing.
The search for wingers is proving more complex. Juventus is interested in Nico Gonzalez and Galeno. Gonzalez’s move from Fiorentina depends on the club securing Gudmundsson, with a potential price tag of €35 million, which Juventus hopes to reduce by including Arthur or McKennie in the deal. Galeno, a Brazilian with a Portuguese passport, is keen to leave Porto, but his €40 million valuation remains a hurdle. However, with over 20 days left in the transfer window, Juventus is confident they can finalize these deals and strengthen their squad significantly.
