La Repubblica: Inter Milan considering Immediate move for Federico Chiesa from Juventus

Start

Inter Milan are reportedly eyeing the possibility of signing Federico Chiesa from Juventus this summer, rather than waiting to acquire him as a free agent next year. The Italian winger’s future at Juventus has become uncertain, with the club seemingly ready to part ways with him.

La Repubblica (via calciomercato) report how Inter’s CEO Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio are known for their ability to secure high-profile free transfers, as demonstrated by recent signings Mehdi Taremi and Piotr Zielinski. While Chiesa’s contract with Juventus expires in June 2025, Inter has already made initial contact with his agent Fali Ramadani to explore the possibility of a transfer.

Chiesa’s exclusion from Juventus’ recent friendly against Brest and comments from new coach Thiago Motta have further fueled speculation about his imminent departure. This situation could potentially force Juventus to lower their asking price for the 26-year-old.

Inter are said to be monitoring Chiesa’s situation closely, with manager Simone Inzaghi reportedly keen on the player. The club is considering making a move in the coming weeks, especially if Juventus reduces their initial demand of €20-25 million for Chiesa’s transfer.

However, for an immediate transfer to materialize, certain conditions need to be met. While Inter currently considers its attacking department complete, the potential departure of either Martin Satriano or Joaquin Correa, following Valentin Carboni’s move to Marseille, could open up space for Chiesa’s arrival.
