Lazio look towards Spain for Immobile successor

As Biancocelesti veteran Ciro Immobile continuously gets injured and forced off the pitch, Lazio have looked towards Spain in order to find a potential successor for the Italian marksman.

Despite the 32 year-old’s contract with the capital club set to expire in the summer of 2026, it remains uncertain whether the skipper will be able to last so long as a result of numerous consecutive injuries that will eventually affect his longevity.

According to reports from Calciomercato, Lazio have identified the Argentine from Elche Lucas Boye as a potential option within the front-line.

The 26 year-old is familiar with the Serie A as he made eleven appearances with Torino prior to being loaned out on several occasions to various sides across Europe.

Since signing permanently with Elche from I Granata after a successful loan spell with them in the season 2020-21, Boye has scored seven goals in 24 appearances across all competitions for the Spanish outfits.

In addition, Sarri’s squad also rates Rafa Mir from Sevilla very highly as the 25 year-old Spanish striker scored eleven goals in 39 appearances for his current side since arriving in the summer of 2021 from Valencia.
