L’Equipe: ‘Sanches will go to Milan’

French newspaper L’Équipe report that Lille midfielder Renato Sanches is expected to join Milan at the end of the season. The 24-year-old has been linked with the club for much of the season and has been scouted by them on a handful of occasions.

L’Équipe report that Lille’s exit from the Champions League against Chelsea earlier this week will result in missed revenue which will result in the club downsizing their squad in the summer.

Another reported reason for this are the financial restrictions to which the club are subject. Among the big names that should leave is Portuguese international Sanches who Milan rate highly.

According to L’Équipe, Sanches should end up with the Rossoneri at the end of the season while Paolo Maldini and the management team are also working on a deal for Sven Botman.
