Following the failed contract renewal of Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada, who is now set to join Crystal Palace in England, Lazio are also preparing to bid farewell to Luis Alberto.

The Spanish midfielder is set to join Al-Duhail for a transfer fee of €11 million, with an additional €1 million in bonuses. According to market experts Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto, Luis Alberto is expected to arrive in Qatar within the next week.

At Al-Duhail, Luis Alberto will join Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho, who is on loan from Aston Villa. The team is managed by French coach Christophe Galtier, formerly of PSG.

The Spanish midfielder joined Lazio from Liverpool for €4 million in the summer of 2016. Over eight seasons with Lazio, he scored 52 goals and provided 79 assists in 307 appearances, winning one Coppa Italia and two Italian Supercups.
