Lukaku targets Fiorentina game

Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is targeting the Nerrazzurri’s game against Fiorentina for his return to action. The Belgian striker has been struggling with a muscular injury that he picked up around six weeks ago and his proper return date has been in doubt.

Il Corriere dello Sport that the 29-year-old has now been given the green light to resume training with the team, but the timetable for his return will only be established today.

The Inter striker is aiming to be back in the squad for this weekend’s match against Fiorentina but it will be dependent on today’s assessment.

Lukaku has struggled for form and fitness since his return to Inter in the summer, with some reports suggesting the Nerazzurri will allow him to return to Chelsea when his loan term ends.
